This requirement affects anyone applying to become a family or group family day care provider after March 5, 2001. The course, Competencies for Becoming a Family or Group Family Day Care Provider, is a minimum of 15 hours and each module of training includes a written exam and/or a demonstration of skills.Individual Providers can apply for a rebate up to $235 to offset the cost of this training.
