Child Development Associate 2.0 (120 Hours of Training)Designed to provide performance-based training, assessment and coaching to caregivers who work with children from birth through five. The CDA competency Standards are the core of the CDA Program composed goals and functional areas, they are statements of the skills needed to be competent caregiver. While the competency goals establish the framework for caregivers behavior, the 13 functional areas describe the major tasks caregivers complete in order to carry out the competency goals.Participants may be obtain specific knowledge and skills to demonstrate how they work with young children during developmental periods; the ability to nurture children?s physical social, emotional and intellectual development framework; they also may be learn how to balance different developmental areas. Course will provide both a theoretical and a practical approach to the issues of 13 Functional areas, with a particular focus on the role and responsibility of early childhood educators in the child development field. Also provides you with specific information and knowledge about 9 regulatory topic areas and NYS Department of Health Child Care Regulations. It will provide an understanding of the effects of Healthy & Safe Learning Environment. An overview of Health & Safety Procedures will be offered.
