Module 3 covers CDA topic area 3 positive ways to support children’s social and emotional development. The five classes focus on helping providers develop the skills and techniques to support healthy social-emotional development including; creating a supportive environment, effective behavior guidance and management, developing emotion regulation and problem solving skills. This module can support students who have previously taken CDA training but lack the hours in CDA content area 3. Completing all eight modules will result in completing 120 classroom hours in the eight CDA topic areas. Training outcomes will be measured through the use of multiple tools including but not limited to pre/posttests, self-reporting on training evaluations, informal observation of classroom and group discussions and various homework activities.
