Description
H.E.I. seeks to assist its students in this course by teaching them to ensure a well-run purposeful program that is responsive to participants needs by working with colleagues, families, and the community. At the same time students will be learning tools for objective observations of children’s behavior through the way they communicate with their peers, environment, and families. Students will be learning to document these observations, set up goals for the children to help them with their developmental growth, adjust curriculum as needed or required, and re-evaluate within different periods to document advancements. This course will assist its students by creating and identifying curriculum that supports the cycle of assessment, and also create a program where families are also taught these skills so that they can carry out some of these assessments and observations at home. Overall this training will help providers and assistants create a family centered program, where the children and families are receiving the upmost quality service.
