Vita Center Inc. seeks to assist early childhood educators in this course by helping them maintain a commitment to professionalism. They will be gaining the knowledge of educating with intentionality, making ethical decisions, articulating their values, and gaining tools to connect with professional groups for professional opportunities in their careers. In this course students will learn how to create a strong foundation in professional ethics, which includes the knowledge of the NYAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct, and gain skills in applying these ethics in real-life work scenarios. It will also help the students examine the New York State Early Learning Guidelines so that they can carry them out to provide children a strong foundation of learning, and also help them become knowledgeable and effective teachers.
